Attorney Jason E. Payne is a native of Port Arthur, Texas who attended the University of Houston and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. While attending the University of Houston, Mr. Payne interned in the offices of State Representative Garnet Coleman and then State Representative Sylvester Turner.

After graduating from the University of Houston in 1999, Mr. Payne attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center. While at the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Payne was a member of the law school’s Interscholastic Mock Trial Team.

Mr. Payne graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2002 and later attended Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois, where he received his Master of Business Administration degree in 2011.

After graduating from the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Payne began practicing law at the prestigious law firm of Hays, McConn, Rice & Pickering, P.C. Mr. Payne resigned from his position at Hays, McConn, Rice & Pickering, P.C. in 2004 and founded, Payne Law Firm, P.C., in Houston, Texas. Mr. Payne’s legal practice primarily consists of personal injury and wrongful death matters, and Mr. Payne has also represented a number of Fortune 500 clients.

Mr. Payne is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the State of New York and is a Board Certified Personal Injury Trial Attorney. Texas Super Lawyer Magazine has also selected Mr. Payne as a Rising Star for many of its publications as well as a Super Lawyer in 2019.

In addition to his legal career, Mr. Payne has successfully advised countless small businesses and served as a political consultant to elected officials. Mr. Payne is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and a member of Texas Boys State.
